Legislative Instrument – F2016L00675 – IMMI 16/009 – Migration Regulations 1994 – Specification of Arrangements for Visitor Visa Applications 2016.
This Instrument specifies the forms and manner for making valid applications for the following Visitor Stream visas:
Tourist Visa stream (Part A of Schedule 1 of this Instrument)
- Part A of Schedule 1 of this Instrument provides the form and manner of making valid applications for this stream
Sponsored Family stream (Part B of Sch 1 of this Instrument)
- Applicants for this stream cannot lodge Internet applications and must lodge the application at the following addresses:

Business Visitor stream (Part C of Sch 1 of this Instrument)
- Must make an application, that is not an internet application, at a diplomatic, consular or migration office maintained by or on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia outside Australia
Approved Destination Status stream (Part D of Schedule 1 to this Instrument)
- Adds Form 48G (Internet) as an additional lodgement method for the Visitor Subclass 600 Approved Destination Status stream visa
- Adds two new travel agents and removes five existing travel agents from the list of agents applicants from the PRC applying for a Visitor Subclass 600 Approved Destination Status stream visa must use.
- The travel agents that PRC applicants must use as a member of an organised tour to Australia.
This Instrument revokes IMMI 15/123 and commences on 1 July 2016.
